Circus Train - July 2002
In July 2002 the Soo Line #1003 had the honor of pulling the Great Circus Train. The Great Circus Train was the big event leading up to the actual Great Circus Parade in Milwaukee, WI.
The Great Circus Train in 2002 was first pulled by Wisconsin & Southern E-units. Then in the evening of July 7th while the train was in Hartford, WI the Soo Line #1003 was coupled to the train.
On July 7 the #1003 made the short trip with the train to Horicon, WI. Then on July 8 the #1003 with the help of the WSOR E-units led the Circus Train eastbound toward Milwaukee, WI. The train traveled on the rails of the Wisconsin & Southern Railroad. It passed through towns like Hartford, Slinger and others.
