Why you might ask ??      I have seen others offer Photo CD's with pictures of Trains or whatever.  I thought I would offer this also but this way YOU get to choose the pictures that YOU want.  I guess I could offer Prints of the photos also, but one print would cost just as much as a Photo CD with 50-60 photos on it.  So I decided to let people choose the photos they want, then I will burn the CD.  Then once you have the photos you can get prints or do what ever with those shots.

The Rebirth of  C&O #614

I would invite you to check out a webpage dedicated to the Chesapeake and Ohio #614. This 4-8-4 Greenbrier type Steam locomotive was one of the last 4-8-4 built.  It was state of the art for steam.  However this beautiful steamer has been silent for over 10 years.  But the owner would like to bring this beauty back under steam.  This is going to be a large undertaking but wee worth the effort.  Please check out the NEW webpage for more information on the revival of C&O #614.

Union Pacific has announced a Steam Schedule for 2010.  It includes several trains.  No announcement yet as to which of the steam engines will be pulling the excursions.  Click UP 2010 Steam Schedule
Last Update - The sale of Milwaukee Road #261 is still up in the air.  Apparently the buyer was given more time to travel to Minneapolis to see and check out the locomotive. 
The Nickel Plate #765 is having Roller Bearing trucks installed on the tender.  This changeover will allow the #765 to possibly become Amtrak certified and pull excursions under the auspices of Amtrak

The Pere Marquette #1225 is currently undergoing its 15 year rebuild.  Hopefully in 2011 the #1225 will be ready to run again for another 15 years.
